Charles Manson granted marriage license to wed his 26-year-old fiancée

The convicted mass murderer is soon to be married to a young woman who has been visiting him in prison

Newsroom November 18 03:06

Notorious mass murderer Charles Manson, aged 80, was granted license to wed his 26-year-old fiancée, Afton Elaine Burton, according to media reports.

Manson has spent the last 40 years of his life in prison for his participation in a series of murders, including the one of director Roman Polanski’s actress wife, Sharon Tate, who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant at the time of her death.

The convicted murderer decided a few months ago to marry his “fan” who goes by the name of “Star” and maintains several websites advocating for Manson’s innocence.

The young woman has been following Manson’s “philosophy” since she was a teenager and left her home 9 years ago to move to California and be closer to him.

“I’m completely with him, and he’s completely with me. It’s what I was born for, you know. I don’t know what else to say,” the young woman told CNN in August.

Manson was married twice before he was imprisoned, first to Rosalie Jean Willis from 1955 to 1958 and later to Candy Stevens between 1959 and 1963.
