In its statement SYRIZA thoroughly supports that the submitted budget will not be implemented” because it will be canceled by the vote of the Greek people”.

Further the statement highlights the fact that the government is discussing with lenders a new measure package to accompany the proactive support line under a new Memorandum.

According to SYRIZA, government is “fully consistent with memorandum policies” and submits a budget which reduces social spending, raises taxes and cancels any development perspective.

Among other, the statement concludes by stating that: “driven by a destructive logic, the government, “heralds a new privatization at the expense of public property and the interests of the Greek people.”
