Former Prime Minister’s  call for a conference of the party and openly disputing the party’s leadership creates disturbance within PASOK.

Since all the above took place, members of PASOK in a daily basis hasten either to  disassociate themselves from former prime minister’s view or either to side with him.

As it seems the party is very close to split. The question is when and how the final clash between Venizelos side and Papandreou side will take place.

However, It is worth mentioning that Mr. Venizelos according to Panagiotis Rigas, despite all  doesn’t intend to discharge Mr. Papandreou.

At the same time, the alleged group of Giorgos Papandreou supporters “Self-organizing Network” which consists mainly of young people took the initiative following the letter of the former Prime Minister’s proposals on the course of PASOK to organize a political event in Thessaloniki without Mr. Papandreou been involved.

They even made a video inviting people to the event entitled: “We are moving on, would you care to join us?”
