Venizelos states that the government will not give in to annoying measures

Negotiations with the Troika continue

Newsroom December 1 04:03

“We will not give in to annoying measures, and this furthers the negotiations”.

The above were stated on Monday afternoon by Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos, speaking on the floor of the Hellenic-American Chamber, during an event on the Greek economy.

Before Mr. Venizelos, the event was addressed by Finance Minister, Gikas Hardouvelis, who expressed his hope that the negotiations with the Troika will finish soon “for the good of everyone”.

Although he did not want to give out too many details on the talks between the Greek government and the Troika, Mr. Hardouvelis stated that he hopes for a positive understanding.

The Finance Minister also stated that the country has implemented the majority of the program.
