Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem left open the possibility for a 6-month extension of the Greek bailout program on Monday.

More specifically, Mr. Dijsselbloem told journalists ahead of the meeting of Euro zone’s Finance Ministers that the issue of the extension remains open and that the related Eurogroup’s decision will depend on the progress that has been achieved in the implementation of the program by the Greek side and also by the data presented by the troika of Greece’s lenders.

The Eurogroup president also expressed his concern over the tight timetables for the negotiations between Greece and its international lenders, noting that both sides must try to make some progress by the end of the year.
