Islamist forces clashed against government forced for a second day in a row, during their assault against an area with important oil fields, on the east side of Libya.
“Dawn of Libya” is an organization put together by an islamist coalition, which bears the name of “Shura council of Bengazi rebels”, including fighters from many groups, like ISIS and others. This organization began when candidates of fanatic Islamists lost the 2014 June elections, leading armed forces to the civil war that the country has been mired in since.
One of these assaults includes the advance of allied, to the Islamists, forces against an oil extraction point in a region which includes two more facilities.
According to reports, the head of the jihadists stated that his men are moving towards Al-Sidra under heavy bombardment by government forces. At the same time, government forces in Al-Sidra have stated that fighting has begun for control over the country’s largest oil extraction facility.
