The Grassrootsmobilise Research Program funded by the European Research Council (ERC) and hosted at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) in collaboration with Megaron Plus is presenting a lecture and panel discussion, titled “Religion, National Identity and Human Rights,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 8.
The speaker of the event is the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Human Rights and Human Rights Politics Professor Heiner Bielefeldt.
Respondents include Constitutional Law Professor Nikos Alivizatos (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and Human Rights Law Professor Eva Brems (University of Ghent) and Research Fellow Effie Fokas of ELIAMEP and Principal Investigator of the Grassbrottsmobilise Research Program.
The speech will be in English with simultaneous translation into Greek.
