German Finance Ministry Spokesman Martin Jager said that Greek “elections don’t change anything in relation to the agreed reforms with the government and the next government of Greece must continue to implement the agreed reforms”.
The German spokesman refused to elaborate on the matter of a possible “haircut”, stating that “no debt cropping is to occur whatsoever”.
At the same time, a representative of German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble replied to a question regarding reports in the Greek press according to which Germany owes 11 billion euro from the forced occupation loan back in 1942, by stating that “no wartime restitution is owed to Greece”.
