497 journalists in Greece to cover the elections (photos)

Foreign journalists have joined Greeks for the countdown...

The fact that the Greek national elections have drawn international attention can be seen by the number of registered journalists who have arrived to cover them. 876 journalists from 45 countries have registered with the press office at Zappeion Megaron that is open from 9 a.m. to the end of the elections on Sunday, January 25.

The figures:

876 registered journalists (649 in 2012)

Foreign journalists – 497 (298 in 2012)

Countries – 45 (44 in 2012)

News agencies – 27 (31 in 2012)

TV channels – 100 (66 in 2012)

Radio stations – 27 (31 in 2012)

Newspapers – 84 (85 in 2012)
