Post-election cooperation is only possible with anti-bailout parties, according to high-profile SYRIZA MP Panayiotis Lafazanis, who heads the more radical “Left Platform” grouping within the leftist party.
He made the comment in the wake of Sunday’s election result showing a SYRIZA landslide.
“Cooperation must have a backbone; they must have a direction,” he said, while speaking on a television panel. “We’re going to conclude cooperation on the basis our standing anti-memorandum program. We’re not going to conclude (post-election) cooperation where one side pulls the covers one way, and the other pulls the other way.”
