The BBC aired a video this week shot in a Greek barber shop in an attempt to explain what the new Greek government means when it says “debt haircut”.
The video is an often hilarious yet clever way of explaining the issue and the possible implications it may have for the eurozone and other European countries.
A BBC “barber shop scenario” has Athens requesting a renegotiation of the bailout program, an end to austerity and the write-off of half of the country’s debt, bringing it down to a more sustainable level.
