“Irresponsible” is the word used by the European Parliament President to describe the attitude of the new Greek government, in his interview with Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Social democrat Martin Schulz said he traveled to Greece convinced that there is room for dialogue with the new Greek government, without however, any guarantees.
“If the Greek government chooses not to cooperate with its partners and lenders, that will be an irresponsible thing to do,” was the Schulz quip, along with rejection of any European debt conference.
“It’s a fragile situation and unilateral actions announced by the Greek FinMin do not help”.
