Α list of reforms prepared and submitted by the Greek government to its eurozone creditors will reportedly include measures on fighting tax evasion and corruption, reforming the public sector, slashing red-tape and settling overdue tax debts and “bad loans”.
12 general fields of reforms are eyed:
-Incentives for tax arrears of up to 100 installments
-Plan for non-performing loans – Protection of banks’ capital – social justice – protection of primary residences from foreclosures
-Labor law: Reforms according to EU ‘best practices’
-Pension funds: Measures for the viability of pension funds without strict timetables – no commitment to a zero deficit policy
-Privatizations: Respect of approved deals – Protection of key national interests
– Enhancing competition: Adaptation of OECD proposals
-Reforms in state institutions – no rehiring of lay-offs
-Measures for lower income households, according to the so-called “Thessaloniki proposals” previously announced by SYRIZA when it was in the opposition
– Reforming the tax authority
