Yet another interview of the Greek FinMin was held on CNN on Monday night.
Mr. Varoufakis answered a series of questions on the vexed issue of the ongoing negotiation and the ensuing relations between Greece and the EU.
More specifically, he stated that ‘’ our plan is synoptic and concise, Greece is finally being given time and space so as to take the debt negotiations to the next level, especially regarding the stifling primary surplus issue which was mishandled by previous governments’’ expressing his conviction that the plan will be approved.
He also stated that there will be no pension cutbacks, but most importantly we are now the ‘’co-writers’’ of our own destiny.
Meanwhile, according to MEP Siegfried Muresan’s tweet, Mr. Varoufakis said during the interview that the delay in delivering the plan was our EU partners’ wish.
When asked whether the fact that the current plan is being extended will have a negative effect on the Greek citizens, he replied that the voters are most content to see their dignity being restored and themselves reinstated to equal treatment, something solely achieved by the new negotiation team.
What is more, he mentioned that the negotiations regarding the next stages, as well as the plan to follow the current bridge-plan, will be auspicious.
