US calls for 10-year Iran nuclear program stop

Israel has expressed its fears that Obama's diplomatic moves with Iran will not prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear bomb

Newsroom March 3 06:12

Iran must ratify a binding agreement on “Freezing” its nuclear programme for at least a decade, according to US President Barack Obama’s statements to Reuters news agency.

The US Presidency stated that Benjamin Netanyahu’s negative stance towards the agreement causes unrest, but stated that this will not harm the long-term relations between US and Israel. He said, however, that there are intrinsic disagreements between Washington and the Israeli government on how to achieve the common goal of Iran’s denuclearization.

Israel has expressed its fears that Obama’s diplomatic moves with Iran will not prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear bomb. Iran refuses that it is researching nuclear weapons.

Obama clarified that the disagreement with Israel is not based on personal preference and that he would be willing to meet with the Israeli PM if the latter wins on the upcoming 17th of March elections.
