Danae Stratou is by the side of her husband, Greek FinMin Yanis Varoufakis’ European trips, whenever her work allows.  When the FinMin visited Paris in order to meet with his French counterpart, Mrs. Stratou found a chance to visit the French capital, according to her instagram.

The photograph she uploaded on her Instagram is from the Place des États-Unis which is in Banlieue  16.

The plaza received it’s “nom” in 1881 when the then American ambassador to Paris decided to place the US Embassy and the Ambassador’s residence in the area.
