According to the Guardian, the former Polish prime minister, who took office as president of the European council in December, stressed that “Greece is not only a question of money.”

“Can you imagine Europe without Greece? With the situation in Libya, with the very fragile situation in the Balkans, Moldova, Transnistria, Cyprus. The consequences for Europe would not only be financial, the results would be the most dramatic chapter in all the history of the European Union,” he noted, adding that, besides money and geopolitical threats, this issue is also about dignity, emotions.

“We have to avoid anything that can humiliate the other side. Dignity and humiliation and different emotions are very important in politics. Not only numbers,” Tusk underlined.
