Police detained eight people outside the Maximos Mansion government headquarters on Wednesday as they were protesting against the institution of maximum security prisons in Greece.

Holding a banner to emphasize their case, the eight protesters also claimed to be in solidarity with a handful of hunger strikers jailed on urban terrorism-related charges.
