There's a reasonable explanation behind airport codes

Every airport has a unique three-letter IATA code. Some make sense if you know the city or the name of the airport and others, well, what the heck? Knowing the code of each airport isn’t useful, but it sure can be fun… A site has been created giving details about each code.
