The new promotional spot on the upcoming European Athletic Team Championships in Crete this summer starring a Cretan villager called Manoussos have gone viral in Greece. The spot, filmed at a Cretan village invites Greeks to support the efforts of Cretan hosts by attending the events.

Theo Papadoulakis is the acclaimed director of the spot. He also directed The Island (To Nisi) the well-known Greek television series and is currently working on a feature film about World War II and the survival of the tiny Jewish community of Zakynthos.
