Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos sent a clear message on Thursday reiterating what most people with a knowledge of elementary western civilization and history already know, namely, that Macedonia is Greece’s largest province and the same land that approximates to geographical and historical Macedonia – despite a 70-year effort to “baptize” a one-time Yugoslav province as such.

“The earth of Macedon shouts from its core, that it is Greece. Even today (…) Only fools can doubt that”.

He also stated that “Amphipolis is a huge area of discovery, if one considers when excavations began. You should note that there will be many years ahead that the archaeologists will impress us with their findings”.
