General Secretary for Public Revenues Katerina Savvaidou responded with an order for an urgent internal inquiry to be held under oath so as to investigate whether staff at the secretariat had committed illegal acts. There will be an internal check of all IT systems to discover any unauthorized accessing of data. The announcement issued by the secretariat stresses that there is an observance of all application and data security rules as laid out by the General Secretariat for Information Systems to protect the systems from external violations.

Furthermore, the announcement states that the results of the inquiries will be relayed to the competent administrative and judicial authorities.

The opposition conservative New Democracy and centrist Potami asked the government to give explanations concerning the recent press reports of Plan B.
