A case of blackmail in a small northern Greece city has shaken the local community, as the alleged victim is a well-known and long-time physician in the area, while the chief suspect is his 21-year-old secretary, who is accused of drugging her employer and taking nude pictures of him.

According to reports, the woman worked in the physician’s medical office, located in the town of Drama.

Along with two accomplices, she stands accused of demanding money from the 68-year-old man in return for not sending the incriminating photographs to his wife.

The trio of suspects, the secretary, her lover and his friend, are also accused of stealing money, jewelry and blank prescription slips from the office.

“I found her through the state employment bureau, she was unemployed. I never imagined she was involved in a criminal ring and that they would exploit me. She was employed with me for two to three months, stealing small sums without my knowing. I was merely suspicious,” the veteran doctor told Proto Thema.
The other two suspects in the case, 29 and 30, have a criminal record, according to police, mostly drug offenses.

The scam was uncovered when the physician noticed his secretary adding an unknown substance to his coffee. The two men reportedly engaged in the blackmail attempt after the woman was fired.
