Greek Orthodox priest in the US brought down by “cake crushing” sex tapes (pics)

The Orthodox priest was unorthodox in his sex practises

Newsroom October 4 03:56

Father George Passias, aged 67, was forced to resign after kinky sex tapes were revealed. The married Greek Orthodox priest had for years denied involvement with 45-year-old Ethel Bouzalas, his married lover and much younger parish-school principal.

The once chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America was in charge of the Orthodox priests once, but he took the helm of St. Spyridon Church at Washington Heights nine years ago.

The priest had ordered female worshippers to cover their heads during confession and insisted on modesty, however there was nothing of the sort as far as the sex tapes were concerned showing the bearded cleric wearing a white-t-shirt as his long-haired brunette lover planted her bottom on a piece of banana bread wrapped in cellophane.

The videos were leaked to the Post anonymously after they were mysteriously downloaded from the priest’s own computer. They spearheaded a huge church investigation in September. The chancellor of the Greek Orthodox church in the United States invited Passias and Bouzalas to see him. Passias was suspended on September 16 as part of the US archdiocese sexual misconduct policy.

Following his absence, Passias sent an e-mail to parishioners stating he was leaving for “personal and health reasons”. He confessed to “multitudinous sins and shortcomings.”

“I will now fade out of this world for a considerable time according to God’s will,” he wrote. “He has chosen for me… that I should retire and follow the way of silence. Please do not ask where I am going and where I will be. Then it would not be possible for me to fulfill what is my lot.” He asked his parishioners to pray for him.

Though tracked down to his daughter’s home in Chicago, he is not responding to messages.
