Halkidiki stood out at this year’s World Tourism Expo – World Heritage Cities and Sites, which was held in Padova last month and received a special award for its prominent son, philosopher Aristotle.

It was recognized for its overall contribution to World Heritage and the award was received by the Halkidiki Tourism Organization (HTO), which in cooperation with the Agenzia di Viaggi tourism network presented the region’s tourism and cultural offerings.

The HTO will promote the region and its happenings through the same magazine throughout next year.
