Marathon runner Christoforos Merousis won the 33rd Athens Authentic Marathon on Sunday for the third consecutive year. He managed to come first in the men’s race with a time of 2:21.22. The gold in the women’s race went to Minori Hayakari from Japan, who came first with 2:52.06.
Dimitris Theodorakakos earned his ninth medal in the Athens Marathon getting silver with a time of 2:27.03, while Dimosthenis Evangelidis finished third with 2:27.28.
