Farmers, protesting against tough tax measures and changes to their social security system, are holding a rally at Syntagma Square on Wednesday that kicked off at 11 a.m. Vas. Sofias and Amalias streets around Greek Parliament were shut down as busloads protestors gathered – 40 buses from west Macedonia alone!
Around 2,000 farmers from around Greece gathered at the Athens center early on Wednesday morning.
A delegation will deliver a resolution to the Ministry of Finance and to Greek Parliament.
