Media outlets across the world published the face of a woman portrayed as a suicide bomber during the Paris attacks.AJ+ that also presented her as Hasna Aitboulahcen, the woman in an apartment at Saint Denis that had been initially presented as a suicide bomber. Her face flashed across the world.

The face flashing across global media outlets was not the face of the woman reportedly killed in the apartment but another random woman who lives in Morocco. “I have no connection to Hasna or terrorism,” she tells AJ+. “My only connection is that my photos were sold to the journalist who published it by a friend she made while living in France.” Her family thought that she was the woman who died.
