Three legends of the American avant-garde scene – composer John Adams, choreographer Lucinda Childs and architect Frank Gehry – have come to the OCC to restage a seminal work which set its seal on their first and only collaboration, back in 1983. Parallel events include a talk with Lucinda Childs following the performance and masterclass on Dec. 6. Showtimes are at 8.30 p.m. from Dec. 5-7. Tickets are from 15-45 euros.

Don Quixote
A rich dance spectacle for the entire family by the Classic Ballet of Moscow with leading Bolshoi Soloists is in store at the Megaron Mousikis. The leading roles are interpreted by the soloists and first dancers of Bolshoi, Igor Tsvirko and Anastasia Staskevits.Showtimes are from December 22 to December 25 at 8 p.m. and from December 29-30 at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Ticket prices range from 19-42 euros. Giselle
The Bolshoi Ballet performs Sergei Polunin’s “Giselle”with music by Adolphe Adam and the libretto by Theophile Gautier and jean-Henry Saint-Georges. The lead role is danced by Svetlana Zakharova and Sergei Polunin is Albrecht. Takes place at 8 p.m. on Dec. 26-28. Admission prices range from 35 euros to 95 euros. Students, young people, unemployed and families with many children pay 25 euros.

What would Christmas be without the Nutcracker? Right after its tour in Thessaloniki, Τhe Nutcracker will be returning to Olympia Theatre for its annual Christmas shows. In GNO’ s highly successful production, the choreography focuses on Clara’s dream, a dramatic coming-of-age story through love and fear. This Renato Zanella’s particular choreography was first presented in 2000 at the Vienna State Opera. The impressive sets and costumes are designed by acclaimed scenographer Christof Cremer, who has collaborated in the past with notable operas and festivals around the world such as the Vienna State Opera, the Dresden State Opera, the Bregenz Festival, the German Opera on the Rhine, the Wiesbaden State Theatre and Opera House, et al.Conducted by Elias Voudouris-Zoe Zeniodi with choreographer Renato Zanella. Performances take place on Dec. 23-24, 26-27, 30-31, January 2-3. Ticket prices: €15, €20, €25, €30, €35, €45 – Students, children: €10 – Limited visibility: €7, €10, €12, €20.
