European security agencies citing specific intelligence that had been received stated that UK would be the next target of ISIS militants, according to CNN.
CNN terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank said he had spoken to a senior European counter-terrorism official who received intelligence that ISIS is aiming to hit the United Kingdom next.
He said: ‘The intelligence suggests that British ISIS operatives in Syria and Iraq are being tasked to return to the UK to launch an attack against the United Kingdom’ adding that ‘They are treating this very, very seriously indeed’ but said ‘it is not clear how imminent this threat is’.
Moreover, the risk of a terrorist attack in UK seems to be greater after the approval for a military engagement of Britain in the war against the Islamic State.
Meanwhile, the Russian intelligence services claim to have evidence that ISIS will attack Thailand over Christmas period.
They argue that ten Syrians with connections with Islamic State have traveled in Thailand last month, and this is not a coincidence.
As Bild newspaper states, Russian intelligence services have warned Thailand that Phuket and Pattaya are possible targets since they welcome thousands of tourists from all over the world especially during Christmas period.
