Abdullah-X, a British working class Muslim, is the star of a number of Youtube videos on Syria that are aimed at a young audience. The cartoon character is being used as a social media weapon in the war against ISIS aimed at helping people to consider the needs of women and children in Syria.

The character aims to prevent young western Muslims from affiliation with the extremist group by helping muslims better understand the meaning of jihad at a time of confusion and misinformation.
