In 2016 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will expand its medium-haul network with scheduled service to five new destinations.
“Customers from all over Europe fly KLM to our hub in Amsterdam to connect with flights to our destinations around the world. We aim to develop our European network so that we can offer more direct flights to and from Amsterdam and more and better connections via Schiphol,” said Pieter Elbers – KLM President & CEO.
The new destinations include Southampton and Inverness in the UK, Dresden in Germany, Genoa in Italy and Valenciain Spain.
Travellers will be able now to choose from a total number of 76 European destinations that KLM operates directly from Amsterdam.
Also, KLM announced that as of 1 February 2016 KLM Airlines will cease operations to Köln in Germany, whereas passengers from the Köln and Bonn area can still be accommodated on KLM operated flights to/from Düsseldorf.
