Disabled man burned alive in his house (pics+vid)

Authorities have not determined yet the cause of the fire, but an investigation is in progress

A 67-year-old man with disabilities was burned alive when fire broke out in his apartment in Zografou area, Athens.

Shortly before 8 am, neighbors called fire service when they saw smoke coming out the apartment on the first floor of the building located on Amphighenias street.

The firefighters reached the scene immediately and saw that there were people trapped inside the apartment.

They broke the door to enter the apartment and they managed to take out a 50-year-old man and his 43-year-old wife. Both of them suffered severe burns and had to be transferred to the hospital.

Unfortunately, it was too late for the 67-year-old, who was staying with the couple, since he was not able to move.

People in the neighborhood are shocked by the death of the man and said that he was a very kind person who never complained about the problem he was facing.

Authorities have not determined yet the cause of the fire, but an investigation is in progress. According to reports, the couple and the 67-year-old man were living without electricity, since they were in a bad economic situation.
