The 37-year-old woman had been missing from last Saturday, while police had been investigating intensively her disappearance.

Her body was found in a field, where police carried out an investigation in the presence of her husband and her father-in-law.

Police sources said the husband of the 37-year-old woman confessed murdering her after a long interrogation indicating the place where the body was. The husband has been arrested, while police is still investigating the role of woman’s father-in-law.

Anthi Linardou, mother of three children, was last seen at her home in Velvento, Kozani, Northern Greece, while her husband claimed that they did not face any major problems as a couple.

Manolis Tsioucharas, Anthi’s father-in-law, speaking to protothema.gr earlier said he did not believe that something bad happened to her.

“I don’t believe that something bad happened to her. I thing she left with another man. They had everything planned. She left with a broken leg. She could not leave by herself. She did not take anything with her, she did not leave a note. She didn’t like her life here and I think she left,” he said.
