Germany will not accept the draft of EU summit which includes approval of the decision to close the Western Balkan route, according to German government.

The draft conclusions expected to be signed by EU leaders mention that Europe will seal its borders with Greece: ‘Irregular flows of migrants along the Western Balkans route are coming to an end; this route is now closed’.

The draft also provides the immediate return of immigrants to Turkey within 48 hours from their arrival in Greek territory, while Greece is requested to host at least 50,000 refugees.
