ISIS/Daesh officially claims responsibility for Brussels attacks (photo of statement)

Terrorist group threatens more attacks in Europe

Newsroom March 22 06:42

The so-called ‘Islamic State’ or ‘Daesh’ has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attacks in the capital of Belgium, Brussels in a statement it uploaded on the online network ‘Amaq Agency’, used by terrorists as a network to disseminate propaganda. The statement read ‘Islamic State warriors carried out a series of bombings with explosive belts and devices on Tuesday, targeting an airport and a central metro station in the centre of the Belgian capital Brussels, a country participating in the international coalition against the Islamic State’. Sources says the Islamic jihadists are threatening to carry out more attacks in Europe. Meanwhile, Iraqi intelligence officers told Associated Press that IS/Daesh terrorist were planning to strike airports and train stations in Europe for two months, without Brussels being on the target list. The same sources said the jihadists plans changed when French authorities arrested Salah Abdeslam in Brussels, last Friday. Two suspects have been arrested by Belgian authorities without any details as to who they are being made public. Over 30 people are feared and dozens are injured after a series of attacks took place at Brussels International airport and a city metro station, Tuesday. Twin blasts hit Zaventem airport with 11 people reported killed, while another explosion struck Maelbeek metro station an hour later leaving about 20 people dead.
