A video from the CCTV camera shows the moment 16 hooded extremists attacked the offices of “Proto Thema’ on Monday morning. An organisation identifying itself as ‘Rubicon’ claimed responsibility for the attack. At approximately 10.52 am a convoy of 6 bikes arrived at the main entrance of the building offices of newspaper ‘Proto Thema’ at its affiliate website. Using sledgehammers, rocks and red pain the helmet clad and hooded extremists started a coordinated attack at three separate points on the building facade. Two struck the main entrance, as seen in the footage, where they smashed the glass door, while three of their ‘comrades’ completely destroyed a white car parked outside the building parking lot. Finally, a third group hurled rocks and paint at the building windows. In their statement claiming responsibility posted on the anarchist website ‘indymedia’ they simply described their rampage against the offices of the newspaper.
