The 21st Art-Athina, the International Meeting of Contemporary art, opens its gates at the Faliro Pavilion (Taekwondo Stadium) on Thursday 26 May and will run through Sunday 29 May.

The Athenian art fair which attracted almost 40.000 visitors last year, not only does it maintain its power but also broadens the interest of the contemporray art. Instituted by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association in 1993, Αrt-Athina is organised for the fourth consecutive time by EuroΜare. This year, its international fame is established with the new Greek and International participations with 50 galleries participating from 13 different countries and 4 continents.

The Platfroms Project@Art-Athina, headed by the artist and curator Artemis Potamianou, is one of the most important events at Art-Athina with an international profile.

At the Platforms Project@Art-Athina 2016, 51 platforms will be presented – artistic actions- from 17 countries and 650 artists while in 2015 45 platforms have participated from 16 countries. The Platforms Project offers at the visitor the artistic creation, the experience of fermentation and cooperation of artistic practice.
