“Opuntia Spirit”, the Cretan tequila that is made of prickly pear, will be presented to the Greek market on June 2.
“Opuntia” is the Latin name of prickly pear which was named after the ancient Greek city of Opus, where, according to Theophrastus, an edible plant grew which could be propagated by rooting its leaves.
The Cretan tequila will be launched in the 5th Exhibition “Crete – The Great Meeting” to be held on June 2-5 at the Peace and Friendship stadium in Athens.
