The president of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, expressed his admiration for the Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, in a joint interview with six European newspapers.

“I admire the Greek prime minister, who won the election last September, after having agreed to a new aid package, which includes strict conditions,” he said and appeared certain that the IMF will support the eurozone on Greek debt relief plan until 2018, when Greece will have completed the aid program.

“I am a social democrat and I believe that Alexis Tsipras is the most typical example. He comes from the far-left and he was elected last year promising to carry out the impossible. After a new crisis, he corrected his mistakes, he changed, his party became more sincere and was elected again by the Greeks. I admire him as much as I admire Matteo Renzi. They promote reforms and will manage to stay in power, “Mr. Dijsselbloem said.
