The students’ parade in Thessaloniki commemorating the “OXI Day”, Greece’s refusal to let the axis forces of Mussolini invade Greece in the Second World War on October 28, 1940, is under way with large crowds in attendance. Youth from secondary schools designated by the Education Ministry are participating in the celebration. The students will be marching in formation in front of the dignitaries’ stand, where Minister for Development Markos Bolaris, along with other officials from Greek political parties will be present.
