Greek military forces march in centre of city

Celebrations of the October 28 National Day in Greece culminate with the student parades in Athens and the military parade in Thessaloniki. The President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos is in attendance at the military parade, as well as Defence Minister Panos Kammenos and leader of major opposition party New Democracy (ND), Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Earlier police were forced to contain a group of protesters remonstrating against foreclosures.
