Giant creatures that actually exist! (photos)

Most are innocuous, but still...

Newsroom November 8 02:10

The time when our ancestors lived in an environment where they had to be on constant alert for fear of ending up prey to giant creatures has long gone. Our prehistoric ancestors would encounter the gigantic predators and try to survive. Maybe the size of these creatures has been embedded in our psyche through the centuries, which is why we generally recoil at the sight of larger animals, especially insects. Get prepared for a short list of giant creatures that could throw you back in time a little.
1. Coconut crabs can reach up to 3.3 feet wingspan (1 meter)
Yes, these giants can grow as big as 1 meter. Three feet might be nothing for you but it definitely is something that kids cannot handle.

gia1
2. A Chinese pig weighting 900 kg
Not every pig can grow that big. A pig over 600 lbs. is harmless as it cannot run so you don’t have to be afraid of a fat pig.

gia2
3. A frog over 3 kg
The good news is that a frog will not going to bite you so it doesn’t really matter if a frog is 3 kg or 30 kg, you can have it as a pet.

gia3
4. The Malaysian fruit bat can reach up to 5.6 feet wingspan (1.7 meters)
Yes, it is a fruit bat and this is why the person standing with him is so confident. He is sure that the bat will not going to hurt him.

gia4
5. A Japanese crab spider weighting 19 kg
Spiders are dangerous and some species are venomous too so do not take them lightly. If it is a large spider, better change your way.

gia5
6. A tarantula with wingspan of 30cm
I will give this guy 10 out of 10. I am not sure if he is brave or stupid but he has got a really big tarantula with him. Hats off!

gia6
7. A Nomura jellyfish weighting 200 kg
It is not a good idea to go that close to a jellyfish. It can pass on some voltage if you go too close and if the jellyfish is huge, the pulse can kill you.

gia7
8. A giant freshwater flat fish of 600 kg
Now that’s a huge fish. It can feed more than 1200 people easily.
Let’s have some party today. Invite everyone in the town!

gia8
9.The Amazonian giant millipede 30 cm long
This creature is not huge but it definitely is scary. If you ever see a millipede, just ask what these guys do to look so scary?

gia9
10. 2 African giant snails 20cm long
Snails are cute and dead slow. Imagine how hard it will be for these twins to walk? They will need a good few years to walk a couple miles.

gia10
11. A Flanders rabbit bigger than a dog
A rabbit will never kill your dog so do not worry if you have Flanders rabbit at your home. Keep feeding it as it will never hurt anyone irrespective of its size.

12. Frisian cow weighting over a ton
This is one massively huge cow. The interesting thing is that it is still growing. Keep feeding it and it will keep on getting bigger.

gia12
13. Discover the Atlas moth, which measures 30cm
The Atlas moth is harmless so it doesn’t matter how big it is, you can have friendship with one if you find it on your way back to home.

See all the farmers’ demands to the government: They do not want OPEKEPE’s control to be transferred to AADE

Farmers are reacting to the cleanup of the subsidy mechanism through the transfer of OPEKEPE’s responsibilities to AADE, as decided by the government. Among other things, they are demanding minimum guaranteed prices and electricity at 7 cents, and they want the money that was stolen to be returned and distributed to the real beneficiaries
