According to information that has surfaced, the US have made an attempt to reduce the tensions in the Aegean Sea between Greece and Turkey. A few days ago Washington seeked out a diplomatic access to Ankara in order to adopt a less aggressive stance towards Greece.
The military activity in the area is especially increased which worries the US government, as a possible confrontation between the two allied countries is against the American interests.
It is still not known what the Turkish response was to the US demonstrated interest, but the semiotics of this diplomatic move is evident.
