The Greek Golden Visa, a program that grants residence permit to foreigners that buy of lease real estates of a 250.000 Euro value and above, has being so successful that the government is considering expanding it to other forms of investments as well.

These could include investments in bonds or investment fund’s stocks of at least 250.000 Euros.

As of January 31^st, 1.573 residence permits have been granted under this program, with the majority of the recipients coming from China (664), Russia (343), Egypt (77), Lebanon (73) and Ukraine (76).
