Lionel Messi could be facing a heavy penalty after swearing at the assistant referee in a World Cup qualifier against Chile. The 29-year-old football “magician” might have scored Argentina’s winning goal in his national side’s win against Chile (1-0) for the 2018 Russian World Cup qualifiers in South America, but the Barcelona super-star was infuriated for some reason with the assistant. At one point in the match Messi can be clearly seen approaching the assistant and saying to him “I f**k you and your mother” in Spanish. His words were taken down on the official match sheet and Messi could be penalised.
