HBO’s fantasy TV series Game of Thrones has gotten stronger since its first season in 2011. The show raked up an astonishing 38 Emmy awards in its six seasons to date. It probably would have picked up another one in this year’s awards, had it not delayed its 7th season premiere, which meant it could not be included among the nominees. As the results of our “Statista Survey Film & TV Awards 2017” show, the series is the most watched TV saga in America, followed by the newcomer show “Stranger Things”, which set off in 2016 and was awarded 5 Emmys this year.
