The details from the police operation that rescued Michalis Lempidakis from his captors are shocking.

According to the information so far the businessman was found on a mattress literally chained to the ground.

When he saw the police officers he broke down and cried saying “Thank you. I can’t believe you saved me!”

The 53-year-old will undergo a medical check-up, give a first testimony to the police and will be reunited with his family as soon as possible.
