Finance Ministry circles deny sum will reach 7bn

Newsroom January 11 04:21

According to sources in the Greek Finance Ministry, the amount the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) will release for Greece is expected to be approximately EUR 4.5 billion. The cash will be disbursed after the completion of the third assessment, while, according to the same circles, the exact figure will depend on the country’s cash requirements between February and June, which amount to 3 billion euros. A further 1.5 billion euros for the state’s public debt arrears to the private sector will be added on.
The same sources deny reports that out the amount to be disbursed at 7.5-8 billion euros.
