New data has revealed that Greece’s economy grew again last October-December, a fourth consecutive period of quarter-on-quarter growth.
ELSTAT, Greece’s official statistics agency, said on Monday that GDP went up 0.1 percent in Q4 2017, but the speed of growth was slower than in previous quarters.
Strengthened investment spending and the consistent growth is welcome news as the country prepares to exit its international bailout program in August, after years of austerity and painful reforms.
